Product Description

I purchased this stroller because I live in a city and walk a lot with my baby. I liked the relatively light weight of the stroller and the easy fold design. My complaint with the stroller is that is seems to be made cheaply. For example, to raise the seat so my baby can sit up, there is a cheap plastic piece like the kind that tightens the hood of a winter jacket, and this does not instill a lot of confidence. Also, there was a recall of the restraint buckles after a consumer research test consistent with my impression of the cheap plastic parts on the stroller. Knowing what I know now, I would not have purchased this stroller, but now that I have it, it is OK for travel (it’s just more that I would have wanted to spend for a stroller that I hardly use). Otherwise, I use my larger mountain buggy (urban single) stroller for everything, and that stroller is great.

Our baby isn’t here yet, but just playing around with this stroller gives us the impression that it’s going to be perfect. The way that it folds is impressive, and it’s so light.

This was the first stroller we ever owned. We live in a large city, so we were looking for a stroller that is easy to fold and carry on public transportation, while also sturdy enough to navigate the streets. It IS very easy to fold, just one motion does it, but its bulky and unyielding once you fold it, so not so easy to get on a bus with it. That is the reason I took one star off.
Otherwise, I find the design very good overall – you can easily unsnap the whole thing from its frame and wash it, the canopy is large enough so you don’t need to get a separate sun canopy, it is relatively light compared to other strollers, so it is easy to maneuver, and the baby is comfortable and snug in there. My daughter loves her stroller and loved sleeping in it as a baby. In contrast, she always cried when I tried to put her in our Gracco car seat, snapped on a frame. A lot of people use that instead of strollers, but she hated it, so we never used it. I have used the stroller for two years now every single day, including taking it on several trips and using it on really beat-up streets in Southern Europe. It’s holding up pretty good, we haven’t had to adjust or replace anything. We bought the JJ Cole bunting and pinned it to the top of the stroller during winter. It is not ideal but it works fine.
Overall, I think the stroller provides really good value for what it offers. At the time we bought it, everyone was into the Bugaboo or the Quinny but they cost quite a bit more. Soon enough, we started seeing a shift – many many Citi Minis and very few of the expensive strollers. I think its a testament to the overall value that this stroller provides.

I spent many weeks of researching strollers that can also fit a Graco car seat and I finally bought this stroller. Reasons? many of them ….

- Easy to push maneuver
- Light-weight
- Very decent price (not as cheap as most Graco, but A LOT cheaper than those fancy strollers)
- Extra large canopy and double windows
- Large basket (latest model)
- Wheels can be easily taken off if replacement is needed or to store the stroller in a box
CONS
- Not seen any yet …

I LOVE MY CITY MINI!! I agonized over which jogging stroller to go with. I don’t jog (and this is definitely not a jogger) but I wanted something with larger wheels and a decent suspension for non-sidewalk travel. The City Mini is perfect for park strolls and places without sidewalks and our little man (4 months) fell asleep in it his first day out!
Pros:
Lightweight, ONE HANDED FOLD!!!!(It pops back up just as easily!), awesome canopy with two peekaboo windows, fully reclining seat with weather guard (who knew I’d love this feature so much??), wheels slide on and off easily, fit in the driver’s side backseat of my Corolla with our Britax Boulevard rear-facing in the center seat. (YAY!) One handed steering for walks with the pooch.
Cons:
) Small price to pay for a stroller that’s this fantastic!
The basket is hard to get into with my little one in the stroller, and although it has the capacity to hold it, I have to cram my diaper bag/purse over the support bar in the back. (Guess I’ll just have to buy a new bag!! DARN!
